Should my entry be really artistic, crazy, and avant-garde?

Yes, please! We want the audience to be wowed! Remember, you are judged on craftsmanship/construction, creativity/originality, and presentation.

Is my entry fee refundable if I am not chosen to be in the show?

No, entry fees will be used to cover the cost of th show including cash prizes for winners.

Question: Is there an entry fee for youth?

No, we want to encourage every youth to participate so entry is free.

Will there be any help for youth to create entries?

Yes, we are anticipating a workshop hosted in partnership with the Sequim Boys and Girls club to be held July 29,30, 2020. Check our website for more information around April of 2020.

There will be a limited number of openings so sign up early. There may also be other opportunities so keep checking our website, and we will post when we know details.

What is the time commitment for an adult entry which is chosen to be in the show?

July 31, 2020 Dress rehearsal starting at 6:30 pm until finished and August 1, 2020: plan for all day but there will be breaks.

Off Stage judging starts at 10:00 and Show starts at 7:00 pm.

What is the time commitment for a youth entry?

July 30th - set up your piece to be juried at 6 pm. Judging starts at 7 pm.

If chosen to be in the run way show you will also be required to attend the following:

  • July 31, 2020 Dress rehearsal starting at 6:30 pm until finished.
  • August 1, 2020 : plan for all day but there will be breaks.
    Off Stage judging starts at 10:00 and Show starts at 7:00 pm.

Will my friends and family get to see my work displayed?

Yes, youth entries will be displayed on July 30th, 7 pm, at the Boys and Girls Clup in Sequim. There is no charge to attend.

Adult entries and youth entries chosen to be in the runway show can be viewed at our Olympic Peninsula Wearable Art Runway show on August 1, 2020 at 7 pm, at the Boys and Girls Club.

Tickets will be sold for audience attendance and can be purchased at www.opwart.org starting in May of 2020.

Do I have to model my entry?

No you can use a model.

Do I have to provide my own model?

We prefer that you find your own model, but if you need help, we will gladly help you find someone.

Can I work on a team?

Yes, we encourage team entries!

What if an adult and child team up? Will that be considered an adult or a youth entry?

We love this combination! It would be considered an adult entry.
