Boys and Girls Club

The Olympic Peninsula Wearable Art’s connection with The Boys & Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula.

Our Story

Members of the Olympic Peninsula Wearable Art Committee have a passion for wearable art and wanted to share that excitement with our local community as well as with residents throughout the greater Olympic Peninsula. In an effort to captivate a broader scope of participation, a decision was made to expand our show to include youth, upcycling and fiber arts. We envision a gala event where our community hosts talent from surrounding states to showcase wearable art and more.

Including the youth who reside on the Olympic Peninsula was a fundamental component of the planning and programming of this extraordinary event. Within this category, our goal is to encourage and promote young talent to participate in the arts, develop creativity, explore novel ideas, try something new and perhaps, take up a challenge, all while supporting The Boys & Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula. This amazing nonprofit organization has done so much to help facilitate the growth and development of our young members of society and has offered them a place to learn, play and socialize within a safe and sustaining environment.

Forming this partnership was natural. We are thrilled to host our event and include a youth workshop in the summer of August 1. 2020. All proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula. We look forward to many years of partnership.
